A large fire broke out on the morning of Sunday 3rd January 2021 at Annison Street, off Leeds Road in Bradford: At the height of the fire there were 14 crews battling to bring the fire under control and took drastic measures to order all residents to stay in doors.

04/01/21 Breaking update… 2 arrested after suspected cannibis factory potentially the route cause of the fire.

 

West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service has issued the following update on the fire: Firefighters have been working hard in bitterly cold conditions this morning to tackle a large building fire in Annison Street, Bradford. Due to the large plumes of smoke, local residents are being asked to keep doors and windows closed this morning. The Fire Service is assisting local authority partners from Bradford Council’s Emergency Planning Team to evacuate residents where required. Firefighting operations continue and this remains a 14 pump incident with fire engines from across West Yorkshire in attendance. Emergency service partners are also onsite. Please avoid this area if you can to assist the emergency services in their work.
