Case Study: Marshalls Construction – Drone Photography & Videography in Irlam
Project Overview
Rotorgraph Surveys Ltd was commissioned by Marshalls Construction to document the full construction lifecycle of two new industrial warehouses in Irlam, Greater Manchester. The goal was to capture high-quality aerial photography and videography at key stages—before ground was broken, during the construction process, and upon project completion—for use in marketing, project management, and stakeholder reporting.
The Challenge
In today’s competitive commercial construction sector, delivering compelling visual progress updates and professional marketing assets is more important than ever. Marshalls Construction required a media partner who could reliably capture each stage of the build without disrupting onsite operations or compromising health and safety.
Our Solution
We designed a multi-phase aerial documentation package tailored to the site’s development timeline:
Pre-Construction Flyover
Before works began, our drone team captured the site’s original condition and surrounding area—establishing a clear visual baseline to support project planning and stakeholder engagement.
Mid-Construction Progress Updates
During key build phases, we conducted regular drone flyovers, providing elevated views of steel framing, cladding installation, and overall site logistics. These updates allowed Marshalls to showcase progress with clarity and professionalism to clients and partners.
Post-Completion Showcase
Upon handover, we returned to produce a final aerial shoot. This included sweeping cinematic video and high-resolution stills, capturing the impressive scale, finish, and layout of both new warehouses—ideal for promotional use and future tenders.
