Gary and the team at Rotorgraph Surveys carried out a full 360 virtual tour and point cloud capture of a large fire damaged industrial site for me. The environment was complex with low light, difficult to access areas, and multiple levels, but they handled everything professionally from start to finish. The quality of the 3D imagery was excellent, which helped me to communicate the extent of damage to stakeholders, without them having to visit site. Gary is also a great communicator and provided a fast turn around on this urgent project. I would highly recommend Rotorgraph Surveys for any large scale or complex surveying work.

I recently contacted Gary at Rotorgraph Surveys looking for a very specific service – a nuclear flat roof moisture thermography survey. While this isn’t something Gary provides directly, I was genuinely impressed with how helpful and proactive he was. Rather than simply turning my enquiry away, Gary took the time to understand exactly what I needed and pointed me in the right direction. He recommended a specialist provider and even offered to make an introduction. It’s rare to come across a company willing to help when there’s no direct benefit to them. Gary was professional, honest, and clearly very knowledgeable. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Gary in the future and would 100% recommend Rotorgraph Surveys to anyone. Cheers Gary 👍

I have been working with Gary and the Rotorgraph team for around five years, preparing roof inspection reports and undertaking other surveying-related work. The drone images, videos and models that Gary provides are excellent and help me to prepare accurate reports, providing helpful advice to Rotorgraph’ s clients. If necessary, Gary makes all of the arrangements for follow-up meetings, and his use of innovative tech and software is second to none. On the housekeeping side, Gary is very organised with the preparation of site packs and RAMS, arranging access with clients, occupiers and if necessary, ATC. Gary goes out of his way to undertake inspections as soon as instructions are confirmed and often works outside of normal business hours to fit in with the weather and occupier requirements. My invoices are always paid as soon as they are sent, and I find Rotorgraph very easy and efficient to deal with. I have recommended Rotorgraph drone and 3D modelling services to my colleagues and clients and received plenty of positive feedback.

Very Impressive Roof Survey and Report. I contacted Rotorgraph to undertake a roof survey of my property through means of a drone. At first I was apprehensive wondering how such technology could replace actual roof inspection through a tradesperson. I have to say that I was very impressed with the survey and the pictures sent back were crystal clear. Report was received promptly of which I can now prioritise findings of the survey and take appropriate actions to my property. Thanks to Gary and team, a great job by all. Highly recommend this company. Chris K Keighley

Recently used Rotorgraph as desperately needed some support with a building dispute. Gary was so lovely and helpful and arranged for some photos to be done very quickly with a subsequent expert witness inspection and report a couple of weeks or so after that. I felt really supported the whole way through. Thank you so much for stepping in! I would recommend. Both Gary and Gareth are so helpful and trustworthy. A hard thing to come by these days.

Common Questions

What you need to know

No – many of our surveys are single roof inspections for homeowners, landlords and small businesses. The same CAA-licensed drone capture and reporting process applies whether it’s one property or a portfolio; pricing simply scales to the job.

A drone survey is the capture method – high-resolution imagery taken from the air. A roof report is the output: a Chartered Surveyor’s written assessment of condition, defects and recommendations, informed by that imagery. We typically provide both together.

In most cases, no. Our drone surveys reach roof slopes, gutters and elevations that would otherwise need scaffolding or a cherry picker – reducing cost, disruption and risk. Some interior or confined-space scans still require access on foot.

Photogrammetry stitches overlapping photos into a measurable 3D model. It’s commonly used for planning applications, refurbishment design, volumetric measurement and coordinating work between architects and contractors.

A point cloud is a dense dataset of millions of precisely measured points captured by laser scanning – it’s the raw survey-grade record. It can be used directly for measurement or converted into a 3D model, floor plan or digital twin.

Yes. We hold £1m Public and Employee Liability insurance and are Safe Contractor Approved. We can provide documentation, risk assessments and method statements to venues and clients ahead of any site visit.

Yes – this is a significant part of our work. We capture fire, flood and escape-of-water damage through digital twins and point cloud surveys, giving insurers and loss adjusters accurate, measurable documentation to support claims.

Turnaround depends on the size of the site and the deliverable – a straightforward roof report is typically faster than a full digital twin. We’ll confirm a realistic timeline as part of your quote.

Yes. While we’re based in Bradford, we work with insurers, surveyors and property owners on commercial and residential properties across the UK.
